DHL appoints SVP for global customer solutions

Singapore - DHL has announced the appointment of Richard Owens as SP for its Global Customer Solutions (GCS) organisation in Asia.

Owens will be based in Singapore and reports to GCS's CEO, Hans Hickler. He will be tasked to drive the growth of the company's top global customers by building on business capabilities and solutions across DHL's express, air and ocean freight and contract logistics businesses.

Prior to this post, Owens served as SVP for DHL Global Forwarding Asia Pacific. In 2006, he was head of integration for the Logistics Division in Asia Pacific where he was instrumental in integrating Exel and DHL Danzas Air and Ocean.
