Job of the week: Regional Director, Global Strategic Sourcing

Role description:

• - New Regional Role Based in Singapore or Shanghai (China)

• Market Leader in the Flavor and Fragrance industry
• Sourcing of Natural Ingredients

Reporting to the Vice president at Corporate HQ, you will be responsible for directing the sourcing needs for the Asia Pacific region. You will lead the regional team, coordinate and align policies and procedures with global sourcing team, develop and execute sourcing strategies, and align them with regional functions and initiatives. You will ensure raw material supply, supplier development, performance management, savings/value earned on purchases, employee development and leadership of staff and adherence to procedures and polices. Some of the raw materials sourced include spices, naturals, texturizers, aroma chemicals and petro-related.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have a Degree with at least 10-15 years of regional procurement experience. You should have good knowledge of Raw Materials/Natural Ingredients sourcing industry and supply base in the region. You should possess excellent leadership, strong analytical and problem solving capabilities, people management and negotiation skills.
