HP unveils new RFID technology

HP launched the HP Connector Solution, a new RFID technology that enables customers to link RFID devices to supply chain and asset tracking applications.

The HP Connector Solution has been designed for use with SAP applications and Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2 and will enable customers to link RFID devices to supply chain and asset tracking applications, the company said.

"HP, Microsoft and SAP continue to deliver innovations to drive the adoption of RFID, a critical technology in the business process cycle," said Tim Wilkinson, regional manager, RFID & Supply Chain, Hewlett-Packard Asia Pacific & Japan. "By cost-effectively simplifying the integration of RFID devices with business applications, companies can reap the many business benefits of RFID."

HP said it is providing the connector as part of its RFID implementation service offering and is the worldwide prime integrator for Microsoft BizTalk Server.
