Asia Pacific - CEVA Logistics has launched its Less than Truck Load (LTL) service to enhance its cross-border road-freight services in the Asia Pacific region.

The LTL service will help enhance CEVA's current cross-border service, which runs from Singapore to China, by leveraging on the global supply chain management company's established Full Truck Load (FTL) services. With the new LTL offering, CEVA will be able to provide an integrated and cost effective solution for customers who need to balance speed and timely shipments in Asia.

Three initial cross-border lanes will be launched to meet the demand between key links in companies' supply chains. These three routes include road links between Penang-Shenzhen, Ho Chi Minh-Shenzhen, and Singapore-Kuala Lumpur.

Additionally, the company is planning to increase the number of LTL lanes in the next two years to link Shenzhen to Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok.

"Our integrated road-freight services are now further enhanced to meet our customers' varying needs with the addition of the LTL offering." Norm Mummery, senior vice president of regional operations for Asia Pacific, said.

"Intra-Asia freight movements continue to be a rising trend in line with the economic growth in the region1 and CEVA's local expertise enables us to deliver greater value to our customers, offering reliability, speed, the highest security standards and world-class Freight Management systems and processes."
