CEVA inks with tyre company

CEVA LOGISTICS   SUPPLY CHAIN   CONTRACT

Europe - CEVA Logistics has signed a three-year agreement with global tyre manufacturer Hankook Tire Italy to manage the storage, distribution and reverse logistics for customers' tires at its Italy hub.

CEVA will distribute automobile, light truck and truck tyres across northern Italy and will manage a shuttle service to HanKook's main warehouse in Rome, which serves central and southern Italy.

The supply chain company will also handle 500,000 pieces across 400 product lines a year, using incoming and outgoing vehicles to reach dealers and retailers. In addition, CEVA will manage reverse logistics for Hancook to guarantee highest efficiency and punctuality in returns collection.

"We are well aware of the challenges that characterise this market and have developed cutting-edge solutions to manage storage, distribution and reverse logistics activities in an impeccable and fast way, which is essential in this sector," Fabio Cecchettini, automotive sector leader for CEVA in Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa, said.

He added that CEVA's suite of technologies for end-to-end supply chain management will guarantee close control and visibility of goods from point of arrival to final distribution.
