China - UPS said it will add 101 new field stocking locations in China, giving its service parts logistics network in the country a boost.

The UPS FSL network expansion will cover 89 key cities across China, spanning more than 110 bonded and non-bonded FSLs.

The expanded UPS FSL network in China is expected to benefit customers across different industries, such as companies in the high-tech/electronics, medical equipment and aerospace industries.

"This expansion in China is important to the growth of our Post Sales business worldwide and will benefit companies who require close-to-customer China FSLs for same-day and next-business-day delivery of critical service parts," said Sebastian Chan, senior vice president of freight forwarding and contract logistics for UPS Asia Pacific.

Like the rest of the UPS FSLs across the globe, the FSL network in China will utilise UPS Post Sales Order Management System (OMS), a web-based system that enables companies located anywhere in the world to quickly access their critical parts inventory, determine the most optimal routing strategy to meet customer needs, place orders online and track parts from the warehouse to the end user.
