DHL MOU CARGO SECURITY
India - DHL signed a security partnership agreement with Air India-Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS), the cargo terminal operator at the Bangalore international airport, to provide security to its freight customers.
The security pact involves stringent internal and external security procedures as an integral part of a supply chain for high-value shipments, India's Economic Times reported.
"The partnership aims to develop standard operating procedures to meet customers' security requirements for high-value and high-risk air cargo," DHL's freight forwarding division said.
In addition to securing sensitive goods, the partnership is expected to help create a safer environment for DHL and Air India-SATS' employees who handle high-value and high-risk products.
"To ensure fool-proof security in the supply chain, it is imperative for all concerned to promote collaboration, open communication and best practices," said Christoph Remund, CEO of DHL Lemuir Logistics.
