Australia - You will lead sourcing activities and develop and implement procurement policies, processes and systems in order to make balanced sourcing decisions. 

Role description:

You will lead sourcing activities and develop and implement procurement policies, processes and systems in order to make balanced sourcing decisions. 

The role holder is required to support the IT Procurement Manager in the development and ongoing management of the respective sourcing strategies and contract negotiations; report regularly on the commercial performance of technology contracts and strategic sourcing category management plans as well as consult to internal clients on technology contracts, knowledge of vendors, tendering and other acquisition processes. Finally the IT Procurement Lead is required to provide analysis, research, benchmarking and contract support across $500m of IT & T expenditure per annum.

Position Duties

• Analyse and project manage, the end to end sourcing and vendor management process for IT&T spend.
• Share detailed product and or category knowledge and communicate this knowledge to appropriately advise business units and stakeholders
• Demonstrate an understanding of the role of Strategic Sourcing in supporting the Group's business strategies
• Remain abreast of category supply market dynamics, trends, cost drivers and to implement relevant industry procedures such into practice
• Enhance external supplier relationship management by delivering financial, risk mitigation and operational benefits
• Develop and maintain a detailed level of reporting of category spend
• Engage and understand Business Unit needs and ensure their requirements are reflected in tenders
• Support the IT Procurement Manager in developing and managing ongoing Supplier contract performance measurement, tracking and reporting
• Perform initial commercial reviews of contracts
• Provide support to the contract managers with specific expertise and knowledge of business requirements
• Contribute to the alignment of the National Business strategies with the procurement strategy
• Research, develop and implement operational Sourcing or Procurement or administration policies, systems and procedures
• Advise on specialist processes and system support regarding relevant sourcing discussions and negotiations
• Implement risk mitigation strategies to proactively manage problems arising from sourcing or procurement contracts

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualified, business or technology preferred
• 3-5 years in IT Procurement across Hardware, Software and Services
• Highly developed commercial acumen and communication skills
• Track record of achievement in negotiation, high value contracts
• Excellent contracts management and legal acumen
• Significant exposure to managing major IT service provider performance including SLA and KPI's
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills

Salary range: A$90k - A$100k
