Australia - Caltex Australia said CEVA's commitment to growing Caltex's business and customer service helped the logistics and supply chain management company land a national distribution contract with Caltex.
The contract, signed between CEVA Logistics and Caltex Australia will see CEVA handling cross docking and national distribution of ambient goods to over 360 Caltex Star Mart convenience stores across Australia.
"CEVA's commitment to operations excellence, its proven capability in developing a transport solution that fits Caltex's current and future growth strategies, and its ability to ensure the seamless continuity of business and service to customers, were all important factors in awarding CEVA this new contract," said Caltex Australia's centralised logistic manager Sam Saysana.
CEVA said it will fit all CEVA transport vehicles with the latest "track and trace" technology to provide visibility to all points of the supply chain. CEVA said it plans to develop the relationship with Caltex, with plans to extend the level of service to additional convenience stores in the Caltex network over the next 12-18 month period.
"Today's announcement confirms CEVA's growing footprint in the fast paced consumer and retail market sector in Australia and demonstrates how CEVA is providing flexible and efficient distribution solutions to optimise the supply chain of customers," said CEVA Australia MD Howard Critchley.
