Global - FedEx hosted its "FedEx Office Free Resume Printing Day" this week, in a bid to aid the unemployed in their quest for a new job.
The event was held on March 10 this year, during which customers could visit any of its over 1,600 FedEx Office Print and Ship Centres in the US to print a maximum of 25 black and white resume copies.
"We understand that the economy has affected many people in a very profound way, and we want to help," said Brian Philips, president and CEO of FedEx Office. "Printing resumes is one small way we can use our resources to help those who need it."
According to the US Department of Labour, the nation's unemployment rate rose to 7.6% and the number of unemployed increased to 11.6 million in 2009.
